A fun and creative project where I was tasked with developing paper trucks that dispensed collectable stickers, with packaging that displayed the dispensing function so that the play pattern was instantly recognizable.
A very fun little project, this sticker set proves you don’t have to break the bank to create cute collectables. The setup here is 3 cute mini food trucks that dispense sticker rolls.
My involvement on this project was to come up with and design dielines for the trucks, packaging base tray, insert, and clear PET cover. My top priority was creating a stage and backdrop to allow for a cute scene for retail display.
To showcase the assortment of stickers the set included, I chose to hold the first sticker of each roll up above each truck on display using the insert’s backdrop. This preview of the mystery stickers instantly conveys the fun discovery play pattern.
The trucks all use permanent locking tabs and are swift-tagged down to the insert’s stage platform to prevent excessive movement so that the stickers are kept properly on display.
Creating the trucks was a ton of fun. Building small, intricate structures that don’t have to conform to packaging standards was a fantastic exercise in dieline crafting.
